DETROIT AUTO SHOW: Nissan Shows Off Bevel Concept’s Asymmetrical Facets

To be honest, we’re not altogether sure what to make of Nissan’s Bevel Concept. Its asymmetrical construction is certainly interesting, and this van crossover thing looks to have a lot of flexibility for active-lifestyle types.

Interestingly, the Bevel maintains a similar helicopter-fuselage greenhouse to the window line that marks out the company’s existing Armada full-size SUV and its Infiniti QX56 cousin. The pillarless rear-hinged door arrangement opens up the side of the concept tremendously, revealing a space inside that’s more of a living room than it is a traditional automobile interior. With thin seats that flip down to create a huge, flat floor that runs from the cargo hold all the way to the passenger-side dashboard, stowage of large items looks to be an easy trick.
