Silverado is lucky to have Tundra coming a tap late.

Tundra has been on the market for 20 years and is not close to Dodge, Ford or GM(Chevy or GMC) in truck sales and the redesigned Tundra is hideous.

I don't know how to say this in a mellow sort of way but Tundra DEMOLISHED Ford, GM, and Dodge in NASCAR Craftsman Truck series. Yup, they DESTROYED them after having only been participating in the series for two years.

where have i been for the past 20 years? I my world there was no Tundra until about 5-6 years ago. hmmmm

I consider the T100 as a Tundra and it was an underpowered POS even if it was from Toyota.

The new Silverado/Sierra get better gas mileage than any toher full size pickup. The ridgeline averages less than 14 mpg and a test on the Titan showed less than 11 mpg. And Wal-mart is the largest company in the world. Gogo not too brightbright.

I agree. I worked in Honduras and small diesel 4 door trucks were everywhere. I really enjoyed the Ford Ranger I had as a company car. But these are small trucks not made for everyone. Sorry you live and in Europe and cannot appreciate a full size truck, there is nothing like it.

Some of us actually do use our trucks for other things than hauling a ladder or our mega yacht (because that's where I spend the other part of my day...).

And part of that use is being there for other people that need a truck. If you never owned one you have never seen the look of people when you show up to help move or tow something because they don't have one.

And we [truck lovers] don't like to pay for delievery......

A huge inefficient engine...really? I last time I checked, the Tundra delayed the launch of the picked so they could ramp with the 5.7 Liter motor...which only comes close the the Silverado in fuel economy. I think a motor that has displacement on demand, runs on E85, and (as a package) gets 20 MPG on the highway pretty good for a 1/2 ton pickup.

If I'm not mistaken, the North American Car and Truck Of The Year award was given to the AURA and the Silverado, didn't see the Lexus anywhere in the bunch.

The ICOTY has been announced at the same time? Did the Lexus when that one?

These are two seperate awards.

He did, and he has a valid point. But you are forgetting Gogo....that most of the diesel engines that are created don't come over to America. So that still begs the question if it's ludicrous to have our truck engines why do you all need your big diesels?
