DETROIT AUTO SHOW: GM Cleans Up With Favorite Car and Truck
Two vehicles from General Motors have been picked by a 49-member panel as this year’s North American car and truck of the year. The Saturn Aura was picked as the favourite in the car segment ahead of 10 other vehicles, achieving a score of 205 out of a possible 490 points.

The truck award was given to the Chevrolet Silverado, which scored 243 points and beat no less than 14 other vehicles to take top honors.

Great job GM!!! I expected the silverado to win, but I'm floored that the Aura won it as well. It's a huge win for GM, Detroit, and America. Shows you what you can achieve if you design it right from the BEGINNING.

I have to chuckle about the Aurora though - this car started life as the 2001 Vauxhall Vectra!!! (from Europe - sorry)
