Got owned big time, even thought M5 has 507 hp. I don't think we should even compare the BMW with Ferrari at all. I have alot of respect for BMW engineering with their M division, but the Ferrari is in a different league.

Actually u guys should shut up big time. Isnt it enough that this is the 1st sedan to compete or get compared with a supercar? I think this is enough to impress the hell out of any1. U shouldnt 4get how much lighter the F430 is. M5 is the ultimate driving sedan, hands down!

gee, a $220k Ferrari two seat sports car is a better performer on the track than a $90k four door sedan? What a surprise. Why are they even comparing these? And then you have Clarkson saying "the F430 is the car the M5 has its sights on". Uh, no, big guy, it's not. If you're going to take one car and benchmark it in a way it was never intended, then why not test the F430 at hauling around a family, taking another couple out to dinner, or getting groceries? That'd be just as useless.

Just the very notion of comparing a 4-door sedan to a purpose built sports car like the F430 shows you how highly some people think of the M5.
