If you like gourmet food with your concept cars, Audi's corporate chefs at this year's North American International Auto Show are rustling up a nice roasted filet of Alaska salmon with orange pepper spinach.

Vegetarians can swing by the Mercedes Benz "Star Bar Cafe" for risotto cakes with haricot verts. And gifts? From rolling laptop cases to African djembe drums, plenty of free goodies are available.

Sound good? Sorry, friend, only journalists are showered with such love. During the three-day media preview at Cobo, which ended Tuesday, reporters from Japan to France sipped free Ty Nant spring water from Wales, munched Haagen-Dazs vanilla-and-almond bars and caught performances by Seal and Drum Cafe, an off-Broadway crew.
