Top Gear: Cadillac XLR V - America’s Biggest Gun

While Clarkson hates American cars, he takes out the Cadillac XLR V, the most expensive sports car ever made in America. The Cadillac XLR V has a supercharged V8 engine that produces 443 horsepower giving the car the ability to do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds with top speeds of 155 mph. Finally Clarkson admits that an American car is stunning and gets even better! Of course, he than goes on to drive it and the Americans disappoint him.

its not the most expesive sports car, for one its not a sports car and 2 the saleen s7 is, hates american cars...why is reviewing cars than if he has a bias, most british mags have some rediculous comment about american cars, and america as a whole, review the cars and leave everything else out of it...totally bias

That's a supercar.

The XLR-V surely is a "sports car". It has two seats, a big V-8, it's a convertible, and it has sporty pretensions. The SL55, 911 CS, XLR-V, XKR-R-- all sports cars.

I love how he refers to the US as the "colonies." He is the epitome of ethnocentrism.

Even though he is extremly biased and only judges cars on his own needs, I have to admit, its a great show.

I guess that is what creates interest in a show - this helps them get more viewers, by humor. So what if they have to hire a person like Clarkson, it works.

Not sure which episode, but there was one where he justifies his smack talking saying that he hates everybody. It's just a bit of light humor!

Besides, we can let them talk smack out of pity for things like how they can't build a car that doesn't die in the middle of driving or how they have really bad teeth.

S7 is a perfect blend of European and American. Big V8 noises? Good. Relatively light weight? Good. Turbos and huge power? Gooooood. I say European because the car was designed by a British company, which I'm sure Clarkson would point out to us Yanks.

We should be proud of our own style. You know, the long hood, short trunk look that resembles a penis with one testicle. On the top. It's cool, sleek and distinctly American. The first two is a matter of my taste, but can you really deny the third?

I liked the part where he says something about how German cars' navigation systems only point to Poland or something like that. LOL
Of course there were Germans and Poles that were quite offended, but whatever...
