Tokyo Auto Salon 2007 Nissan Skyline Aero Concept

Tokyo Auto Salon 2007 Nissan Skyline Aero Concept
A couple weeks ago we had the chance to test drive the latest Skyline 350GT Sedan(review coming soon)but for the TAS Nissan came with a "meaner" version called the "Skyline Aero Concept"!

It doesn't take long to figure out what the "Aero" stands for as the car is fitted with a very impressive bodykit, lowered and using 20 inches alloy wheels the line of the car is quite heavy yet powerful, only the small rear wing softens the design above the massive exhausts and rear bumper.

Once again no informations on the mechanical parts but nowadays most concept cars are made to be built so, more infos about this Nissan monsters should be available in the upcoming weeks or months.

Oh yeah, I like both the girl and the car. I donno about the white rims though. I wonder if Nissan is thinking about bringing this to fight the F line of Lexus????

I want it to happen! I respect Infinitis as performance cars, and they could do a much better job than Lexus at an M3 competitor. I wouldn't be surprised if a G35-S or something along those lines comes out in the next few years.

The last time I read an auto magazine review comparison between the G35, 330i, Acura and IS350. I remember the IS350 smoke all of them from 0-60. Oh by the way the G35 they used for the comparison has 300hp too. Look like the new G35 copy Lexus IS350 too, by bring out 306 hp of it own.

Hey! I says bring it on, it would be nice to have more option when I'm shopping for a new sportcars.

By the way if Infiniti do decide to bring out a similar "F" division of their own, they are copying Lexus.

Yes, that was only a month ago. The IS350 won, followed by the TL, with the G35 bringing up the rear. I was surprised- I expected the IS to win (it's my favorite of the three), but the TL beat the G???

And why are you saying Infiniti "copied" Lexus with the new G35? The last-gen G35 coupe already had 300+hp. It's the other way around, if you want to play that game.

And don't start about Infiniti bringing out a performance division. To say that they're copying "F" is laughable, because, in turn, Lexus has blatantly copied M, S/RS and AMG. Infiniti could do a much better job than Lexus at this, however- so don't be surprised if you see a G35-R in your rear view mirror next year.

I think the Skyline concept above should have more hp, 306 is not enough, at least for me. I mean come on..it a Skyline? more horse power Nissan.

Look like BMW, MB, and Audi has more competition coming from Japan with "LOVE" ;)

Wow, you're exasperating.

This car is just a re-badged G35- IT'S NOT A SKYLINE GT-R. The GT-R is the supercar with 400-600hp and AWD. The G35 has 306hp, so therefore, the Skyline sedan does, also.

correction, look like the Nissan Skyline copy Lexus too by having 306 hp of it own.

I says 306 hp not 300 hp, the IS350 was the first to have 306hp in this segment.

Hey! I love all the Nissan skyline too, so I says bring on. Instead just having the the Lexus IS-F, M3, RS4, C-class AMG, now you might even have a G35-R like you mention when shopping for a sportcars. All the cars I mention all are great sportcars, I guess it just a matter of taste and need. I know what I want, the Lexus IS-F in red like the one above.

Yes, S4cabriofoxone, I was really suprise too that the TL took second place, I was expecting the new G35 to take second place.

I expected the G35 to be first, the IS350 second, and the TL last. It only makes sense that they end up in that order; The G35 has the Size of the TL, the performance of the Lexus, and a price right in between both! I can't believe that the TL was even considered a competitor, its a FWD!!! If the G35 that was tested had been an Automatic I think the order I mentioned would have been the outcome. The majority of the complaints on the G35 were directed towards the clutch operation.

The TL,which is fwd,is a competent sport sedan but we know why this auto rag chose the TL ($$$$). The G35s and the IS350 are clearly the top two in that order with the long in the tooth TL not far behind. And by the way that nasty concept dressed in Infinite Red will soon incarnate itself into the 2008 Infiniti G35 R-Spec! The kitchen just got a lil'hotter in the Far East...
