I am an American, born/raised. We CAN build good cars, it just comes down to business. We finally realized that we need to step up in the car dept. with good quality and prices (which we are doing).

Personally, I believe most Amerians are near retarded. The video is not a good representation of Americans, but is somewhat close. If you asked me these same questions when I was in 8th grade, I would have EASILY been able to answer them. I wonder if the editors of this video never interview any intelligent Americans or did they just edit the "smart" Americans our.

Also, you want to see good quality, look at the Fusion/Milan/MKZ or the new Cadillac CTS (drool.....).

I agree that American can design/build good cars such as the Z06. As for the CTS, it's too edgy for me when you are comparing it to the 5 series, GS, E-class, and Infiniti M. The edginess looks good on the XLR and the Escalade though. As for the Ford Fusion, just look at last generation Honda Prelude front and the rear of previous generation.

I always thought the CTS's look was somewhat out of proportion; something that just took away its aggression. Then I saw the widebody model that runs in the Speed World Challenge... The XLR has that wide look and was wondering if maybe you had the same sentiment about it.

What would you recommend eh? Seems like the Z06 is pretty well regarded..don't know what planet your living on..

fantastic.. i agree with you.. the z06 is really a pos. Crappy plastic interior, outdated pushrod technology, keep making engine bigger, no carbon fibre etc. Now blue devil will be 100K.. for that , M6 all day long or Aston or 911 or sl or r8.. they have to start all over again.

And yet, your beloved, superior technology BMW loses out to the outdated pushrod technology on the track. Hmm...

Maybe things would make more sense to you if you saw that each of the cars you named are targeted to different people/markets.

Amazing Bimmer..you should only speak on things that you know of. The Z06 has a carbon fiber fenders, a hand-assembled, 7,000-rpm 7.0-liter normally aspirated small-block V8, titanium connecting rods and intake valves, sodium-filled exhaust valves, a dry-sump oiling system, a forged-steel crankshaft and computer-machined cylinder-head porting, 19-inch rear tires through a six-speed manual transaxle, a full aluminum chassis, and a magnesium engine cradle. Not to mention the C6R has won numerious awards and races. Yeah..pretty outdated. (sigh)

This is one of the most bullshit things I have ever seen. This guy is obviously a left wing nut who dislikes America. Some of the things he stated may be a little true but lumping all the American car makers into “Americans Build Bad Cars” is pathetic at best. What a simpleton.
