Official New Mercedes C-Class photos break cover! Is it a STUD or a DUD?
With all the talk of the new BMW 3-Series and Lexus IS-Series wars, the Mercedes C-Class has been all but forgotten...Until today!

The official Mercedes-Benz C-Class brochure has been leaked and it looks VERY impressive....especially in sport/avant garde guise.

Agent 001 will be driving it later this week so stay tuned for more photos and first driving impressions!

Special thanks to ZeroKool for the tip

Somebody else has to get out of their brand bias.

By all means, I think Mercedes makes more desirable cars than Lexus. But this new C vs. the IS isn't even a comparison for me. I don't think this C will try to be a 3 Series fighter, so it will still be about kind of high-speed luxury. Similar to the IS. And there's no advantages of the C's beyond the three-pointed star. Less powerful engine, interior not being as nice (looking, at least), and comparitive lack of style. Advantage Lexus!

No! I just don't want be a snob, If I want to get a Lexury car than I would buy the LS600 hl, BMW 745i, or the Audi A8. Not some cheap looking c-class MB. MB use to make good car but now they are not what they are use to be. My friend got a brand new C-class last year, she already has all kind of problem; from oil leak to electronic problem.

In this Segement: Lexus, BMW, Audi, Acura, Infiniti, make more exciting than MB for sure. But hey! don't take my words for it, what do I know about car right! ...I like Lexus

Oh, you know what, I misread your comment. I was thinking, how can an oil tank be electronically controlled. But you meant oil leaks and electrical problems. Although, sometimes oil leaks aren't the car's fault so I wouldn't go pointing the finger at Mercedes. Maybe a piece of metal caused it or something. But electronic problems can be blamed on Mercedes.

I personally think this car is stunning inside and out, better than the W203 it replaces. The exterior is very dynamic and elegant at the same time. The car doesn't really look like an MB either. I mean there is no family resemblance to any other MB currently on the market. The rear lights are a clear evolution of the current SLK / CL Class, however.

And I think those of you who are criticizing the interior should hold one for a minute. These are poor quality photos and for all we know, this C Class interior is from one of those cheaper trim level C Classes they have in Europe. You know, the ones used for taxi or police fleets. I am willing to bet that the version the US will get will have more wood and better interior materials. That said, I am pretty sure that the pictured interior is one of those cheaper trim level versions. Dead serious here.

Still, to me, from what little I can make out, the interior looks very nice. The steering wheel is a bit odd, but the interior as a whole looks very nice and dynamic. Can't wait to see this ride in real life.

1. BMW 335

I would get the BMW for the driving experience, Lexus for it's rock solid reliability, Cadillac because it's the most exciting and fresh in terms of looks, and MB for it's brand image (plus it will probably do all things well, just not the best).

You're forgetting the new A4... the A5 (upcoming coupe version of the A4) will be coming out in March at the Geneva Show. Completely redesigned, from the ground up. It's of more significance that it will be the first to use Audi's ingenious modular platform- all of their models will share a common platform, configurable to different engine sizes, lengths/wheelbases, and transmissions.

The B8 A4 will be released this year, hopefully- after the A5.
