Audi Aims for Sales to Beat German Market in 2007

Audi "aims" to beat sales in the German market...will be interesting to see: A3, 1 series and B Class, A6, 5 series and E class nothing much to report for '07, C-Class and 3 series will surpass A4, S Class has and will maintain lead over 7 series and A8. In the most-important-market-in-the-world-USA, Audi will be once agin, beaten by Benz and BMW.

The A6 is the best-selling luxury sedan in the world, apparently, and the A4 sells second to the 3- the C has never sold more.

Well, the US is getting the TT, US, Germany and the rest of the world is getting the A5. Ever thought of that smart one??????????????????????????????????

our dealership whent over the business plan for 2007 and the A5 is part of the mix. Look for the A5 in the fall. Not that far away :) the TT will be here in about 60 days

TT wont sell that many, same with A5, A4 and A6 will still be main sellers the other two are niche cars. There is a long step to reach the sales as BMW and MB have in the US.

But who cares which is bigger? i dont, just as long we have several car makers to choose from, because we all got different taste.

Sometimes i think there are so many fools in here, my car is better than your car, my dad can beat your dad!

Come on grow up, enjoy that the carmakers try harder and harder to compete to give us the best product they can make.

Maybe you shouldn't read what people post - you have a reputation for getting all worked up when anyone mentions something that does not highlight Audi as the best carmaker in the world. BTW, the article addresses Audi's sales goal in Germany, not the USA.

In my opinion BMW's main threats will be Mercedes and Lexus in the near future.Audi may be third.

Lexus is non existent in Germany.
Audi will do just fine boys...get used to it.
The A5 will be out by late spring in Europe and here in the fall. All the S models and RS4 are sold out in Germany and Europe for about 1 year or 2. Even here the RS4 was on the list of cars that stay the least on dealer's lot.
Audi will do just fine. Looks like you BMw feel threatened by Audi...good.

We are a BMW family. My son has an '06 4 door 330i Sport pkg. manual shift. He was planning on buying an '07 335i coupe and give his wife the 330i. After she thought about it, she requested an Audi A4 Avant manual shift. My son gritted his teeth and agreed for family unity purposes. I have no comment.

Can't go wrong with the A4 Avant. Pretty sweet ride, especially with the Manual shift.

My son was pampered with a three-year-old A4 1.8T quattro on his sixteenth. My daughter got a brand-new Honda Civic coupe when she turned twenty-one, a year later. He got stuck with the Civic and didn't complain- he's just tuned it.

I honestly think Audi makes much better wagons than BMW, and the 3 Series is a better sedan (5 vs. A6 is debatable, and A8 is much better than 7 Series), so your daughter in-law made a good choice.

The main threat to BMW is Mercedes Benz, or the main threat to Mercedes is BMW, Audi is a lower tier car brand. In fact no one mentions that even through Audi is the leading auto luxury brand in China, BMW is was voted favorite auto brand in China, look it up on google, I think Jan.12 article. Also remember this probably the 200th audi gonna be, wanna be article in the past couple of years, I guarantee before next month there will be another audi 2015, 2020, 2089 gonna be, wanna be number one post.

If Audi is a step below, then Lexus, Infiniti and the rest are about twelve steps below.

BTW till 2015 Lexus will also be the contender for the premium brand segment leadership.
