Name Your Top 10 Future Collector Cars

Name Your Top 10 Future Collector Cars
Tomorrow's collector cars are parked in garages and sitting on showroom floors across America. To help consumers sort out the next generation of sweet wheels, McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty and a respected collector car valuation expert, has compiled his choices for Hagerty's Top 10 Future Collector Cars.

In determining the Hagerty Hot List: Top 10 Future Collector Cars, Hagerty analyzed the reasons today's collector cars are such hot commodities: pop-culture popularity, limited production numbers and the style of the next generation of collectors. The company included a wide range of models that span market segments and price ranges: cars that are more affordable, fun to drive and still enticing for future generations.

Hagerty's Hot List:

* Toyota FJ Cruiser
* Mini Cooper
* Lotus Elise
* Dodge Viper
* Acura NSX
* Toyota Scion
* Audi TT
* Jaguar XK
* Chrysler 300
* Smart Car

What? If he doesn't have a Ferrari on his list, that doesn't mean he doesn't like them. BTW, you don't have to worship Ferarri to be a car fan.

Ferrari Enzo/FXX
Ford GT
Porsche Carrera GT
2008 Audi R8
2007 Audi RS4
Bugatti Veyron
McLaren SLR
BMW M6 Convertible Neiman Marcus Ed

I could probably come up with severl more but you only asked for my top 10. Others to consider:

Any Audi S6, S8, A8L W12, V8 Allroad, RS6
Any Mercedes Benz AMG production car, but not the SUVs Any BMW M car.
Acura NSX
Honda S2000
Cadillac SLR V series
2007 Corvette Z06
Mini Cooper S
New Beetle Convertible in any limited color that came with an electric guitar. (The guitar has to be with the car)
Shelby Cobra Convertible
Viper Coupe and Convertible
Plymouth Prowler (don't know if it still counts or not)
Porsche GT2/GT3
VW Phaeton W12

Many cars we consider collectable really aren't. There are simply too many of them produced to consider them truely rare. If a manufacturer produces more than 1000 of something, you can pretty much forget it ever bringing the big money someday.

The GT is a sweet car, but it's simply a re-make of the original. It didn't come with a sophomore jinx- thank God!

Oh and, I already gave it to the 911 Turbo over the GT3. I'm less into hardcore 911s and more into the classic, really fast ones.

What's the FXX? Oh, right, that hideous Enzo remodel with the new engine. No thanks.

What's an E65?

There's an E63 (507hp V-8) and an S65 (604hp V12 twin-turbo), but you can't have both in one car!

Imagine an E65 (600hp)... that would be the fastest sedan on Earth, ever, if the transmission could handle all the power!
