First official photos of the new Mercedes C-Class leaked

Front headlights look like a Saturn Aura's, interior looks like it's straight from the Honda Accord and the rear view is taken from a Neon. I much prefer the current design (which isn't great)

Still better looking than the 3series, 5series, IS put together.
That looks like class to me, not rice burners.

MtlMotors, that's because the Saturn Aura is a German car and there are common design cues you'll find in their cars from manufacturer to manufacturer.

LexusAdmirer, actually it was Mercedes calling saying they want their E-Class taillights back from Toyota, but they did say Toyota can keep the current Kamry taillights.

Good job MB. Clean design which should wear well, added distinction (grill) between sport and luxury trimmings and a less cluttered looking interior from than the previous generation. Will be nice to see interior shots of US spec'd cars. Thanks Spies!

You probally like the boy racer look of the Lexus IS.

Not eveyone does and that's why Mercedes makes their cars, they have niche.

Very nice...I don't like the steering wheels but otherwise the car is a very big step forward in design from the last car. Like it a whole lot more than the 3 series.

Headlights looks like the New Lumina's.Rear lights looks like Audi A6.
Interior is crap something like the Nissan Altima.

Overall A vanilla design inside and out.

Mercedes did an excellent job with this one, it is certainly much better than the previous model, and is way better than the new 3 series..Both in and out..Especially with the AMG kit...

Exterior looks excellent except tail lights.
Interior is weak. Steering wheel is heinous.

Remove the badge and nobody will even care commenting more than a word or sentece(ugly,cheap...etc).Looks like Koreans luxury car.Korean Mercedes ?

To me even the Caddy BLS and jaguar X Type looks better than this both inside and out.

C350 w/ AMG compared to a 335i Sport:

front view: Benz wins big, that's attractive
side view: BMW wins
rear view: tie, not a fan of either
interior: personal opinion but the 3-series looks more upscale to me (more wood/aluminum, no pop up screens, etc.). I'm surprised they didn't E-class it up more, I think the E-class has the nicest interior in its class (and yes, I think it's richer and nicer inside than the A6). They could have done so much more.

I'll be interested in seeing and driving it in person. But it looks like a nice improvement over the previous car.

I agree, more could have been done but typical Mercedes they intentionally gave themselves plenty of room for improvements/model refresh opportunities. As a first year model they did exactly what they needed to to sell a boatload. I actually am warming up to the non AMG version, the Elegance version (not classic). Very nice, can't wait to hear driving impressions..

I have to say I thought it looked better in those blurry brochure pics...It looks like the new Chrysler Sebring a little bit.

Still looks better than the 3-series & Lex IS I guess, but the interior is one of Mercedes worse to date.

the car looks good on the outside especially the sport model, but that interior looks like an economy car, that would have been nice in a mazda 3 maybe, but this just doesnt look like a luxury car, the interior looks cheaper than the old one, but hopefully the interior materials are high quality, and better than the last one....otherwise this interior would have nice in the next mazda 3

Looks more like an evolutionary step forward from the 202 chassis with elements taken from the current design of other models, as opposed to the next iteration of the current C-Class design.

I don't really understand the thinking behind the hidden screen. Since it also operates as the control/information panel for the audio system, wouldn't it just always be visible/in use, anyway? Weird...

Overall, I like the exterior, especially in metallic silver. But the interior looks a little on the cheap side.

the exterior is ok with the amg kit only, the tail lights look like the old a4 lights. im also going to give this car a award for the ugliest interior of 07, no doubt.

I still don't understand why there's 2 grills?

The new Toyota Camry SE look way better than this. I mean look at the headlight, look light the scion TC, rearlight look like the old Camry.

i know, i dont know why people keep saying oh this is so nice. See its not a ugly car but, you guys make it way to over rated. the car looks pretty bad for MB and i mean the interior of my dads tundra looks way better then that.

trd1, the only reason some people say it look nice is because it has a German emblem on it. I betcha if you put this MB emblem on a dawn "Donkey" they would says it could 0-60 2.5 seconds.

For a MB design I think it really boring. If MB want to overthrown Lexus IS350 or the BMW 335i, they need to come out something more exciting than this. It just seem so plain and boring.

to tell you the truth, i would take a is350 or 335i over the C any day. shoot id even take the is350 over two of them. the car is just bad in almost everyway.

The ES is a rebadged Camry and Competes with the Buick Lucerne.

I would reserve judgement until seen in person. I rememebr that when I saw the CLS in photos, it did not look interesting, but in person it is stunning.

it must be a bit sad to have a interior uglier then every honda and be called a luxary car, right.

1 Question:
I have been in the interior of the W203 C180 Kompressor, and the top speed is 250 km/h. However, on the specification list on the W204 C180 Kompressor, max speed is 223 km/h? Is that meant to be right - the only reason I am asking this is because there is 27km/h top speed difference, from the older model and the new one, which I thought would be vice versa (W204 250km/h max C180 K and W203 223km/h max C180 K)

Offcourse, Mercedes Exterior's are going to be the best. However, the interiors for the entry-level models are going down the drain, I prefer the previous interior than the current.

So they rounded the edges, big deal! Its like the new Infiniti G Class, they just rounded the edges, made a few refinements, and call it 'All New'!!? LAME!!! redesign the thing, then let's talk!
