SPY SHOTS: Restyled For 2009 Ford Mustang!!
With the Dodge Charger and Chevrolet Camaro set to once again heat up the muscle car scene, Ford is preparing a comprehensive restyling for its 2009 Mustang, of which this is the first spotted prototype.

Our boys and gals at KGP Photography had but a split-second to grab this mule, which appears to have taken on a lot of design cues from the Los Angeles Auto Show Giugiaro Mustang Concept show car.

I think its quite a reach to compare this "new' mustang to the giugiaro concept. Ford is way too conservative to go all the way. Nice try though.

This is a mighty stretch comparing the giugiaro concept to this thing...talk about ULTRA-watered down. Too bad ford didn't lower the roof line and employ the one piece glass windshield/roof.

My guess from the looks of it is that Ford just changed the front valance, and maybe the headlight, and maybe the hood...other than that, just another dissappointment from Ford.

You never see toyota's or old toyota's at the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction on Speedchannel. Another thing, the fastest Dragsters in the world like John Force's Mustang use supercharged V-8s. Let see the fastest modified toyota or vw/german dragsters do the 1/4 mile: 0 to 5 seconds in over 320 MPH! And some say that the japanese or germans have better technology, where? If they had that much better of technology, you would hear of a camry funny car, and not a Mustang funny car dragster.
