Nope. Low gas prices are nowhere to be found on my list of things I should worry about, and I won’t be adding it anytime soon.

In fact, I would recommend to someone worrying about low gas prices to seek assistance in anxiety management. I can’t imagine how he reacts to real problems! That level of stress causes all kinds of wicked disorders that would make his low gas price woes feel like a warm sunny day; he should have that taken care of.

Your an idiot, a gallon of gas should NOT cost more than a gallon of milk! It's the greedy fat bastards who run/own the oil companies, the reason gas prices were so/still high. Cheapest I ever paid for gas was in 1999 at 86 cents a gallon in America. Gas should really be no more than a dollar a gallon. Gas in Venezuela is only 12 cents a gallon.

Whatever, no one limits the use of SUVS and pickups anyways, no gas guzzler tax on those guzzlers. Sure when it hits 4 or 5 (in ten years or laters or whenever) everyone will cry. But whatever, cheaper gas is better for the people that already have cars that don't guzzle anyways.

Gas has historically been under $45 per barrell for the past 50 years. Yese there are spikes but overall it usually stays around there. So I am sorry to say to all of you lefties out there that yes we will have cheap gas prices again. And to all of you I hate big corporations junkies why don't you take a look at the profit of the big oil companies around .08 cents per gallon and comapare that to the Democrats profit on that same gallon over over .50 cents. Who is the the greedy fat bastard now???

where are people getting gas for $1.87 a gallon? i understand that the prices of crude dropped, but here in california we're still paying the same prices we've been paying for the last 6 months. i paid $2.85 for 91 octane yesterday.

I do not worry about cheap gas, but neither am I going to allow it to affect my vehicle purchases. I currently own a chevy silverado and will be trading that in on a toyota sienna. Better gas mileage, lots of interior room. All it takes is for the US to attack iran, and gas will be at $4 a gallon.

Well, well. Some “climate expert” on “The Weather Channel” wants to take away AMS certification from those of us who believe the recent “global warming” is a natural process. So much for “tolerance”, huh?

I have been in operational meteorology since 1978, and I know dozens and dozens of broadcast meteorologists all over the country. Our big job: look at a large volume of raw data and come up with a public weather forecast for the next seven days. I do not know of a single TV meteorologist who buys into the man-made global warming hype. I know there must be a few out there, but I can’t find them. Here are the basic facts you need to know:

*Billions of dollars of grant money is flowing into the pockets of those on the man-made global warming bandwagon. No man-made global warming, the money dries up. This is big money, make no mistake about it. Always follow the money trail and it tells a story. Even the lady at “The Weather Channel” probably gets paid good money for a prime time show on climate change. No man-made global warming, no show, and no salary. Nothing wrong with making money at all, but when money becomes the motivation for a scientific conclusion, then we have a problem. For many, global warming is a big cash grab.

*The climate of this planet has been changing since God put the planet here. It will always change, and the warming in the last 10 years is not much difference than the warming we saw in the 1930s and other decades. And, lets not forget we are at the end of the ice age in which ice covered most of North America and Northern Europe.

If you don’t like to listen to me, find another meteorologist with no tie to grant money for research on the subject. I would not listen to anyone that is a politician, a journalist, or someone in science who is generating revenue from this issue.

Most people are happy that gasoline prices are falling. I know I am. You have to be pretty paranoid to worry about falling fuel prices.

When alternative fuels are needed, the technology will be there. Actually many alternative technologies have long since been developed. Current crude prices, availibility and reserves make those alternative technologies uneconomical at the present time. Enjoy the current prices and quit fretting!

you say that, and it may be true, but will the infrastructure? the government needs to do something to provide for alternative fuels, like hydrogen, diesel, plug in hybrids etc. it's all very well having a hydrogen car but when you can't fill it up there's a problem.

I feel certain that when alternative fuels become economically viable, the infrastructure will be there to deliver them. But please, don't look to the government to provide it! The government can best help by getting out of the way and letting free enterprise work. This, of course, assumes that free enterprise will still exist at that time.

And finally there is no consensus on Global Warming. Consensus can't exist in science. Time magazine 30 years ago talked about how we were all going to die with the coming ice age. So.... What happened to the ice age? How about when I was a kid and my teachers telling me that the hole in the ozone was getting so big because women were careless and using aerosol hairspray. An that soon the hole in the ozone would melt our skin. Don't hear about that much anymore do ya'?? Or how about when eggs were bad for you and how margarine was good and butter was bad.
