Europe to get diesel powered 2008 Cadillac CTS
GM just unveiled the new 2008 Cadillac CTS at the Detroit Auto Show for the US. But now Automotive News is reporting that Europe will be getting a new diesel powered 2008 Cadillac CTS a couple of months after its gasoline version launch in October. Teaming up with Italy’s VM Motori, the car is expected to have a 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine that will produce up tp 245 horsepower.

“We expect at least 50 percent of CTS sales to be diesels,” said Dick Braakhekke, Cadillac Europe spokesman.

Seriously, is it going to take $6.50 gas prices for us to finally get diesels (don't answer, it's rhetorical).

watch caddy's sales double. instantly. people who buy this sort of car use them as company cars, and company car tax is based on CO2 emissions, which diesels emit less of.
