2009 Jaguar XF Spy Shot

Jaguar is preparing a replacement for the S-Type, which will be named the XF and is scheduled for launch this fall.

Code-named X250, the new XF is aimed in particular at buyers of the very successful BMW 5-Series. To that end, Jaguar has developed a more modern and futuristic car and has abandoned the old-fashioned styling of the S-Type. Jaguar introduced such a concept car at the Detroit auto show, wearing the C-XF name.

Wow! althought this concept C-XF borrow many of it design cue from other brand, it look awesome. If Jaguar make a coupe version of this, it will definitely gave the M6 a run for it money.

Why does everyone want to go after the 5 Series?

Jag should focus their efforts on the E-Class- it's a better combination of performance, luxury and style than the 5er and they could excel in that area.

Hey! just think this Jaguar can really put live back into the cat. I think it is very beatifully design both interior and exterior. Hopefully they put at least 500 hp underhood for the XF-R version.

NO, man if you look do a search on all my post back to several year ago, I like all brand. But my favorite brand will and has always be Lexus. Because I bought the Lexus IS350, it was my first new car. I just feel that it fair, you know gave credit where it deserve.

If the design nice, I say it, if it ugly I say it, I don't what brand it is. I'm talking designing here not quality of the car or realibility. I cannot judge this Jaguar realibility yet, because it not out yet.

Well, wouldn't you have to drive/own a car from another brand before you can say Lexus is your favorite?

My wife has a Lexus (RX330), and I'm around them a lot. She had an RX300 before. That doesn't make Lexus my favorite brand.

I see trouble ahead.... Did anyone notice the Volvo S80 rear view mirrors?
Ford/Jaguar, PLEASE, do NOT screw the XF launch up!!!!!
Jaguar desperately needs the XF to take it off the brand off life support, do not dilute this car with visible parts from a Volvo and Ford. It is crucial this car is unique and has fantastic build quality, not to mention a refined interior.
