Pushrods variable future

Previously, independently-variable intake and exhaust timing was only possible with dual overhead cams. But thanks to the engineering wizards at the British firm Mechadyne, pushrod engines can now benefit from this technology as well.

Hasn't GM been doing this for years? The 3.5 and 3.9 pushrod have variable cam phasing.

I like that the big American V-8s have the multiple displacement features. That's a big leap over past conventional thought.

But that doesn't work in the real world, look for the Edmunds pickups comparison, the Chevy has the lowest real world fuel economy.
