Jaguar Planning Two Supercharged XF Models

Currently, Jaguar adds a supercharger to only “R” badged cars such as the S-Type R, which will now become the Jaguar XF. AutoCar is reporting that Jaguar will add a supercharged to both Jaguar XF models including the regular Jaguar XF which will have a 4.2 liter V8 supercharged engine producing 420 horsepower and the Jaguar XF-R which will have a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine producing up to 500 horsepower. The UK magazine predicts that the Jaguar XF-R is planned for sometime in 2010.

dont normally do this but stupid comments deserve it, the first post was correct the current xk8, and xj8 are not supercharged, the xkr, and xjr are. this article is sayin the regular v8 model xf will be supercharged

You didn't get it Heyhuub. I'm said "standard". As in the only V8 models will be current supercharged version and the new 5.0 R supercharged version.

it also said the 500hp version will be out in 2010, which is three years from now. By then the competitor cars that are already making 500hp today will certainly be making more.
