So if my conversion is correct in Europe the C350 will cost $57,000.00US with the C180 - Coming in at roughly $38,000.00US Now, i'm not sure if they currently cost around the same Euro in Europe anyway and we just get cheaper prices on cars.

Can someone explain?

The outgoing C180 K base model starts at €29869,- in Germany, the C350 costs €41055,-

So it's not much more expensive then the outgoing model.

Figure the pricing as if the dollar and Euro were at an even exchange. The prices are suppressed to an artificially lower level due to the competative market in the US. "On the Road" taxes are also not included on US web price calculators as they are on the European ones. Tax rates in the US range from about 5% to 10% of the sale price instead of the now 19% in most of Europe.

As expensive as we Americans like to think German cars are here, it's nothing compared to how much they are in Europe and many other parts of the world. People in the US pay about the same for a C230 as many Europeans would for a Golf. We should consider ourselves very lucky indeed to have these incredible cars for sale in this country at these prices.

good God, how many times do we have to go over this? You can't get USD prices by simply converting european prices. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS. If we used that method, the RS4 would have cost $85K, but did it? nooooooo, it was much cheaper...use some common sense.
