ronsscooby, I don't get it. Usually, Subaru owners are intelligent people, and I respect them. They usually admire Audi owners, because both have the same basic principle: AWD. One may be more upscale, but they both have tremendous racing/rallying lineage and are known for their AWD systems worldwide.

Now, why do you hate Audi? Because you can't afford one, maybe?

Here in the land of Obnoxious Consumerism (OC), I see the lanes of the Disneyland Megafreeway are often jammed with A4's and IS's.

And the winnter is: surprise surprise: Audi A4 2.0T Quattro.

They said it won because it's the sportiest, and the best-looking, and had the nicest interior.

I've read this article many times. They said the A4 was "cleary the sportiest of the bunch", and had a "hot new body". Or something along those lines.

To be Mr. Obviuos, Audi and Subaru are similar. The Audi has a little better interior and dare I say overall quality. The Subaru has reliability. If you like the flashy nature of the upmarket Audi, buy it. If you want the performer, the Subaru. Simple as that.

Every test I see with a Legacy features the Spec B. Why? The $31k Legacy GT will do just fine.

There needs to be another test of AWD Neo-Luxury Sedans of 2007. The New G35x might just take home the trophy. I truly respect the Audi and Subbie's AWD Systems, however I think they are over kill for what we use our sports sedans for. If I was buying a car to Rally it I would buy a Subbie, or Audi. I love the ATTESA-ETS AWD the most of any AWD system on the market today. It comes from the Skyline GT-R Supercar, and on pavement is the best AWD system out there. It operates as a RWD until the rears lose traction, it then sends as much power as needed (upto 50%) to the front wheels. I think this is the best of both worlds, RWD handling and feel when you don't need AWD, and AWD only when you need it and never more. The downfall of the Audi is extreme front weight bias platforms. The Subbie has a lower, and better center of gravity for a FWD Platform.
