That was an area reserved for BMW test drive event. No local traffic is allowed in that area while the event is taking place. There are many events like this that allow that kind of driving...usually with a professional drive hired by BMW.

From this video i can't really hear the turbo and the sound doesn't seem to be as loud as i imagined.
I know this may sound like a dumb question. Would this car fit a blow off valve? If so how would it sound?. I'm not really into the whole tuning scene therefore i have no knowledge of this.
I'm also in the market for one of these bad boys just want to know of its potential and its possibilities.

Was your question about the car having a blow off valve? If so, the answer is yes- it does have a blow off valve which is controlled by the EMS(engine management system). The valves are moderated by a vacuum-pressure actuators via electropneumatic sensors.

No what i meant was am i able to add an aftermarket blowoff valve to the 335i. Also, is it common for BMW's or European cars for that matter, to have aftermarket blowoff valves(which really makes the noise obvious).

I didn't watch the video, but I still think this is the hottest coupe for under $50K on the market.

The 335 coupe is giving the 550(and so 650) a run for its money. At least in straight line competitions recently posted on BMW 3 and 5 series sites. On a track I image it would be strong against those models as well.

Yea miami represent. BMW always has events there. I took a test drive in the 330i one time. It was awesome they would tell u floor it to like 60 or something, then hard break all the way. So the cars got the sh*t beat out of them every time. It worked and made me want to get a 330i. Last time they invited me, this time i didnt get the invite....bastards

I own a 2006 BMW 330xi. I never got an invite from BMW for anything. Oh well.

You could be invited soon, or you could check your complimentary BMW Magazine for upcoming events and crash the party. If you live in the boonies though you're out of luck.

Is there supposed to be a 335xi coupe down the line? Because I'd really, really want one as a winter car.
If not, I'd have to live with a mere 230hp 328xi.... (tear)

Yes, we do agree. Perfect example of how first impressions are not that lasting. This car has grown on me so much I am debating whether it beats the E46 coupe.
S4, may I recommend an X3 for the winter. It has a better ground clearance and more storage and utility one might need for the winter.

S4cabriofoxone,
Your dealer should start taking orders in March, 2007 for the E90/92 335xi.

vdiv, I'm sorry, but I absolutely dispise the X3. If I'm going to get a car with a big trunk, it'll be the 335xi. The X3 is one of only two BMWs I hate- the other being the Z4 (non-M).
Thanks for trying to be helpful, though.
Admiral-
I know that the E90 (sedan) is going to have a 335xi version, but I have not heard the same for the E92. May I ask where you got that information?

"If I'm going to get a car with a big trunk, it'll be the 335xi WAGON."
And also, if I want to pamper myself, I'd look at larger wagons- 535xi, E350 4Matic, A6 Avant...

S4, I agree the X3 is hideous, but it is as practical as a BMW gets. Destroying a 335 coupe in the mud, sand and slush and skidding it into a guard rail is not my idea of the ultimate driving experience.

S4cabriofoxone,
From a BMW Marketing Manager. The E92 335xi from what he told me may be in Q4 -2007 so orders will be in Q3, while the E90 I believe is for Q2-2007.
