This is an extremely exciting debut for me because I'm a big fan of Subaru. I'm not sure if Subaru is doing the right thing or not by dropping the regular WRX, though. When I bought mine (in 2002, of course), the STI wasn't available, so I drive the regular version. I've always thought it was a smart business decision for Subaru to have an $18,000 base model, a $24,000 intermediate model, and a $32,000 top model in the Impreza line. That said, I'm almost certain I would have sprung for the STI if it had been available in '02. Perhaps Subaru intends to mindly decrease its sales, but to increase overall profits by simultaneously increasing the price of the average unit sold?

I am seriously relieved. On all the previous reports they said that the Impreza was going to be hatchback only, I am glad to hear speculation of a sedan.

Looks awesome! Because I have a family I would rather have a wagon. Is this car bigger? I would like a rally version.
