Hyundai Consider Diesels For US Market

Hyundai Motor America Chief Operating Officer Steve Wilhite said he hopes to bring diesel engines to the company's U.S. lineup.

A final decision has not been made, but Wilhite said U.S. executives are studying the market for diesels. South Korea-based Hyundai Motor Co. offers diesel-powered passenger cars in Asia and Europe.

I think Hyundai is doing well for themselves. The company I think is growing. Now not to say it's Toyota but in 10 years time I think a lot of the cars on the road will be Hyundai along with Kia. Sounds funny but i think it's definitely possible.

The reason Hyundai only has 3% of the US market is because they VOID their supposedly fantastic 100000 mile warranty if you have your car serviced by anyone other than a hyundai dealer. I won't touch a hyundai with a 10 foot cattle prod.

Well, Agent63, I thought they were growing, too. But then I noticed their profits keep going down. They deserve to succeed.

At least they're not copying Honda with hybrids. I guess they're copying Volkswagen, though.

Lets just say it wasn't Toyota.
