You make a valid point, however I'd rather have an F150 over those other trucks and a Fusion over an Accord or Camry.

-Quality-wise, they're all very good cars.
-They all are good looking (for their segments)
-Pricewise, domestics are cheaper
-Maintenance/recurring costs are generally cheaper with doemestics (hell, they're built for you to tear them down and put them back together again)
-They're usually made in the USA and/or US companies and Americans benefit from their sales (engineers get paid, stockholders, communities).

Not trying to insult your insight, this is just my personal opinion. If the Ford products you mentioned were pieces of crap, I would support your argument.

regarding your last argument...i may be mistaken, but this particular car is made in australia, and the fusion is made in mexico, so the workers who benefit are foreign. stockholders come form all over the world, and many americans own toyota stock. and the communities surrounding tundra, accord and camry plants are doing mighty fine. so basically, according to your argument, let's support american engineers.

The F150 sells more in a month than the Titan does all year. The Tundra is only competition until the revised F150 comes out with the Boss V8 next year. The camry and accord sell off their reputations, and the domestics are starting to earn theirs back. Toyota is on top now, but the industry moves in cycles.

Yea thats right, the only thing that buying an American car does is support American engineers. When Toyota sells a Camry built in the USA does Toyota (which dont forget is Japanese) profit? The answer is yes. Not only this, the Fusion is produced in Mexico..true. It's sibling the Mazda6 is produced in Detroit at the same plant as the Mustang. It wouldn't be any problem for Ford to start producing the Fusion here (if the demand gets high enough).

Point of this post--buying GOOD American products helps America. End of story. (the same does not apply for buying poorly designed/built American cars because then it gives our companies the idea that its OK to make crap)

That is a pretty good looking car... looks like a better looking 4 door version of the GTO concept.

This is what GM is all about. Working with what is by far, the strongest thing it has, bold stylistic American Iron. Even though the G8 was designed in Aussieland, GM has been a global company for decades, but never used it resources it owned. I find this car stunning. After investing billions on this platform, it will return tenfold the investment in short order.

Actually i am pretty sure that the latest Holden Commedor was designed knowing full well that it could be brought over here

This car will be a huge success if the quality is good (and I suspect that it will be, basing this opinion on other current GM vehicles). Hope it has LED tailights to really give it a sharp look!

I like it, but i don't think that i would have gone with the hood scoops. Looking forward to something that can play with the charger, interior is better than the 300c

I want GM so sell this car in the UK...as a Holden or even a Vauxhall.

Its not gonna sell well. The market now wants cars that get gas mileage. Another reason Toyota will be #1 this year.
