Honda To Build a New Plant in Alabama

Washington DC February 8, 2007; The AIADA newsletter reported that Yutaka Technologies Inc., subsidiary of Honda Motor Co., said yesterday that it is building a $50 million plant in Alabama to supply Honda Manufacturing of Alabama LLC.

What's with Alabama getting the new factories - do they have the cheapest labor, or it is the central location, or phenomenal tax credits or loans?

Maybe it's assumed since people in Alabama design and build a plethora of aerospace hardware/software they can probably put together a car pretty well.
