CNN Gives Us Their Top 12 Greenest Cars For 2007

CNN has listed the cars that the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy says are the greenest.

Here's the list:

1. Honda Civic GX
2. Toyota Prius
3. Honda Civic Hybrid
4. Nissan Altima
5. Toyota Yaris
6. Toyota Corolla
7. Toyota Camry Hybrid
8. Honda Fit
9. Kia Rio
10. Hyundai Accent
11. Hyundai Elantra
12. Honda Civic


The Spies give congrats to Honda and Toyota for making the list. But where are the Americans on this list?

If you notice they are tiny engines or hybrid models. The smaller the engine the less the pollution if all other things are equal. I

t is interesting to note the the Natural Gas Honda was the top gun, and this technology is relatively cheap to implement.

Yes, Compressed natural gas burns very clean. One of the problems with the Civic CNG is that you have to have the compressor installed in your home. Furthermore, there are very few CNG stations. Anyways, I find it really cool that there are options out there.
