We have never written about the MG Cyberster and the Ferrari 812 Competizione in the same story, but we are about to, as the two different yet fast models recently met for a few straight-line battles.
Can we talk about the underdog? It is obviously the former machine, which a Chinese EV sold in Western markets, too. In the United Kingdom, pricing starts at almost £55,000, which comes out to a little over $70,000 at the current exchange rate.
What does one get for that kind of money? A single electric motor that drives the rear axle and produces 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) of torque and 335 hp (340 ps/250 kW). Naught to sixty-two mph takes five seconds. The superior dual-motor version with AWD starts at nearly £60,000 (~77,000) and boosts the combined power to 535 lb-ft (725 Nm) and 503 hp (510 ps/375 kW), dropping the 0-62 mph time to 3.2 seconds.
