5,000 Volkswagen R32’s coming to US
Volkswagen last week unveiled the new second generation R32 at the Chicago Auto SHow and now plans to produce 5,000 units of the hatchback for the United States. The new Volkswagen R32 has a 3.2 liter V6 engine that produces 250 horsepower with 236 ft. lbs. of torque. The standard 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system transfers at least 75 percent of available torque to the rear wheels. Be one of the lucky ones and pre-order it at the R32 website.

$35k euros? You would have to be crazy to pay that for hatchback that only has 250hp.

that includes tax though, don't forget.
It's 24000 pounds, but without the VAT, it is only 20000 pounds, around 39000 dollars.

It will be less here. Think $25-30K.

I love this car's bodykit, but GTI is a way better buy.

Does this thing have DSG? It is basically a 2 door A3 3.2 quattro. The A3 3.2 quattro base model is $34k US, so I'd imagine the R32 will be priced below that.

It'll start at $33k US with DSG as the only tranny available in the US.

i think they are bringing 5000 for the ones that were really waiting for this, because i dont think that people are going to pay 35k for this when they can buy 2007 wrx sti for almost the same price.
