Honda Hybrid Sports Car: CRX Meets MPG

Honda Hybrid Sports Car: CRX Meets MPG
Honda is going to show this at the upcoming Geneva show. Long story short, it's a hybrid car that is fun to drive. Imagine Insight miles per gallon with the fun to drive quotient of a Civic Si. I can't wait!

Maybe Honda will actually release it with a manual transmission, since the Insight Hybrid was available with one. The FT-HS is suspiciously lacking a manual gearbox.

Honda's half-ass hybrid system has no competition to Toyota's advanced full hybrid system, on both FE and performance.

This is not in the same arena of the FT-HS (although Honda came out with a hybrid high-end 4 seat sports car before the Toyota a while back)- think Insight and hopefully a dash of good ol' CRX. And if you think Honda's hybrid system can't hold a candle to Toyota's, (Honda's system is cheaper, less complex, and almost as fuel efficient) Honda's new hybrid technology will most diffinitely ante up to the table and bring noteworthy innovation to the field - plus it will be fun, can you say that about a Prius?

There have been rumors for ages for a CRX replacement, a car that has reached cult status (I had an SI and it was terrific fun and practical). If this concept can get great gas mileage and be as fun as a CRX, they'll sell like crazy.

CRX resale is retarded, considering how old and beat most of the cars are haha

I doubt that is the case. I am sure this was in development at the same time as the FT-HS. Honda didn't just whip this out in the month after Toyota released the FT-HS

Yeap, it's pretty hard to come up with a car in one or two months only.

Well the last CRX model was dropped in the early 90's, yet the fast and the furious crowd still soup them up - hardly 'old and beat'...it amazes me that people on a car website have no real sense of cars and recent history. If anything, Toyota is trailing and copying Honda...

THIS IS NOT AN FT-HS COMPETITOR.

THIS IS NOT THE CAR IN THE PHOTO. THAT IS AN ARTIST'S IMPRESSION.

How clueless are some of you?

This should be interesting. I'm sad that the S2000 is dying, but maybe this will be a worthwhile replacement.

And Will, for the record, I liked the FT-HS concept a lot. Best Toyota concept in quite awhile.
