Autospies BMW/iPhone rumor a hoax
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it appears that the AutoSpies rumor of iPhone integration into the new BMW 7-series is a hoax...

We never said the photo was the ACTUAL integration...it was meant to illustrate what it might look like.
We also said that it is 'rumored' to be in the works...
Actual article quote below:
"Reliable sources tell us there are rumors that BMW will be the first to announce full integration of the iPhone features into the next 7-Series."

...erm...who cares if that is an actual picture. Anyone who has ever sat at a computer and tried to find new things within the auto industry is confronted with tons of pictrues that have had a date with photoshop.
That is what one should expect... and because the picture is made up does not mean the content of the article is.

you didn't know it was a photoshop from the fact that the article was talking about a 7-series and the picture was from a Z4? 7's don't have pop up nav screens. The rumor could still be true, especially if Apple is indeed doing the next iDrive interface.

We knew it was a photoshop! This isn't a "hoax." Websites do it all the time, and it's actually pretty likely that the next 7 would have this feature.
I think it's an accomplishment in itself that other (irrelevant) websites have articles regarding AutoSpies.

The iPhone name was a bad choice anyways.
If they chose to call their computers 'Mac' and their music player 'iPod', why on earth are they calling their phone 'phone'?
Even Microsoft has learned from this with the Zune. Apple should come up with a more imaginative name IMHO
I like the iPhone multi-touch technology for easy navigation. This will be the next PDA generation. Get iPhone Converter http://www.iphoneconverter.com/
