If I was riding in the back of that car, I'd be wealthy enough to have my own chauffer transportation. I'd also have nerve enough to tell the driver to fugoff and pass that full bottle to the rear of the car. Incidentally, the converstion usually begins with someone mentioning the descruction of classicism as such. You know though, the Rolls-Royce isn't this: it is actually a modern interpretation of decades old Rolls-Royce styling cues. In fact, this Rolls-Royce is more classically so than the prior model: it just isn't as reserved for the period even relative to the Rolls-Royces that it is based off of.

I would rather about year or less and get the Lexus LS600 hl. Better design, more lexury than any other brand out their.

The Lexus LS600 hl is going to take over this super ultra lexury segment for sure.

Perhaps Lexus should first re-focus on bringing the LS sedans back to the echelon of quality witnessed in previous generations. Critics are taking the current LS to task for the sub-par materials used in the center stack and overall interior design.

Lexus does not rival R-R. Neither does Adui, BMW or even Mercedes, so neither will lexus. The 600hl rivals exactly what its name suggests: the S600, the 760, the A8 W12 and the Phaeton W12 (more in Europe than the US).

I actually had the opportunity to try on this car for size and a regular Phantom which was parked right next to it. I came away thinking they should build all of them this size. If you're going to ride in back, the LWB is the way to go! Now hand over the Gray Poupon and the Gray Goose playa!

I wouldn't buy a Phantom. They are so huge in real life, barely fit on the road, bonnet as high as a Range Rover!

I wouldn't consider an LS when i'm thinking about a Rolls Royce, Bentley, or Maybach. It's not in the same league i'm sorry. All you Lexus fans can be loyal to your brand but you all know that Lexus LS is no higher than it's rivals. You also know very well what it's competitors are so don't get too ahead of yourselves. IMO the Lexus is a beautiful car but if you want to say that it can be compared to a Phantom then I say it's just a Lexus trying to be Maybach but for a fraction of the price.

I would much rather get the the S-class in this segment. Better name, more heritage, more innovation behind the name. Now back to the Phantom, not all are chauffeured. I heard that it's actually a pretty nice car to drive yourself. To say that all Phantom owners MUST be able to afford chauffeurs is rubbish. Been watching too much celebs on TV rolling up to the red carpet.

One last thing, how on earth is an LS600H the same quality as a Phantom. No way no how. It's also not about better technology for way less money. It's the whole feel of owning/driving a Rolls. It's the ambiance and everything else combined to make it all that much better.

Just check out where the valet parks your precious Lexus when the next guy comes "rolling" in with a Phantom! You'll be in employee parking.

Even though I support Lexus to the fullest, I have to agree with Agent63. But regarding the S-class statement, thats more of an opinion, everyone has different views.
