Generally agree with you, except last week I saw a black beetle convertible with black roof and black interior with some expensive aftermarket wheel rims - it looked rather impressive. Almost all other color combinations don't do the vehicle justice.

WTF are talking about EL34,I own a Lexus SC300 Twin Turbo(2JZ-GTE),and it would kill what ever you drive,may car is far from a chic car!!

Very simple and nice design. If the build quality is better than the current beetle, then this would be one beetle that I would drive.

VW, please... let it die. The Beetle is past its heydey. It would be sad if the bug ended on a medicore note, so just let it leave with a bang- perhaps a Beetle R36 would do.

VW can't afford to kill it - it sells for more than the golf/rabbit and brings in healthy volumes. If VW kills the Beetle then VW sales and dealer profits in the US will decline even further - and VW is not exactly profitable in the US at the moment.
