Nonethless, these days hybrids or other green cars are considered to be the slow and boring. Well, dont judge to soon, Forbes Auto put together a list of green supercars, some that are available and some that will be made available in the near future.

Tesla Roadster: The car pushes 284 horsepower and costs $92,000 with a range of 250 miles with its lithium-ion battery pack.

Commuter Cars Tango T600: An oddly shaped electric car with a 0-60 time of 4 seconds

Trident Iceni R: With its 6.6 liter twin turbo V8 bio-diesel engine this car produces 450 horsepower with a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds.

Cadillac EcoJet Concept: This is Jay Leno’s concept developed with GM and runs on bio-diesel producing 650 horsepower.

a Prius only slightly modified did 137 mph at bonneville a coupla years ago.

biggest mod: killing the speed governor.
