I actually like how it looks. But for Jaguar it doesn't have the traditional classy looks like the current one has. The one in the most recent 007 was nice, the XJ in the end of the movie.

Wasn't this the new S-Type? This is just a C-XF-esque sketch, and the XF will be the next S-Type, not XJ.

Well, you don't seem to have noticed this, but, Ian callum has said that Jaguar's future is going to be even more radiacal than C-xf (during its unveiling in Detroit). And clearly since c-xf is their most radical model, it follows from logic that next xj will be based stylewise on c-xf. So autocar is not wrong, and they used insider info.

This is many years off people. I can't imagine that this is the "next" XJ. There are going to be many refreshes and "new" XJ's before this.

When that Saab Aero concept is on the road then this might be right there next to it.

I didn't say anything about Audi. I love the high-end Jags, and want the new XF to succeed. I was "this close" to buying an XJ8 for my wife, but decided against it because I don't trust her with a RWD car in the snow. How is stating factual information about this C-XF sketch an attack on Jaguar?

AND, if the XF comes out next year (which, sadly, it probably won't) and is offered with AWD, that would be my #1 choice for my wife. She's not getting a new car until next year because of a new house.

Well, S4, I don't believe that what you have said is entirely true. The C-XF was meant to demonstrate more than just the upcoming design of the XF according to what I have read. I have also read that the XJ will retain entirely distinctive styling minus vague reltionships between them on the grill. I guess we shall see when the XF actually does come out.

Yes, of course, I know that the future sedans will look very SIMILAR- it's Jaguar's new design language. However, the XF will have more details in common with the C-XF than the new XJ.

One would imagine given the name of the concept. The images are very along the vein of the C-XF. I don't think anyone here is foolish enough to think that this will be the actual car.

The jaguar names are really confusing, I still cant figure out which 1 is the coupe and which 1 is the midsized sedan etc...

Jaguar can't wait very long to restyle the XJ, as everyone knows that this model was a styling mistake. My wife's last two cars were XJs. The last a XJR which now has 80K and needs to be replaced. The new XJ looks like the five year old one with only bad styling changes. Jaguars should be low and slick and making it 4" taller to be like MBs and BMWs was a mistake. I won't buy a new XJR. Maybe I will get a Lexus LS460LH. On the subject of reliability, the last two have been nearly perfect. The last has been better than my friend's LS400 which has had a few problems untypical of an Lexus, I think.
