The diesel looks very nice with excellent performance and fuel economy, but it appears that it won't come here. Maybe later.

How is this?

TDI 3.0:
Bhp 240, Torque 500Nm
0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds

3.2 FSI V6:
Bhp 265, Torque 330Nm
0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.1 seconds

I was always thinking the diesels are excellent for heavy cars, or when pulling a trailer. But now I see a smaller diesel engine, with BETTER fuel consumption can outperform a fuel engine in 0-60mph test.

Do I have to go for the diesel then !?!??!?!?!

Yep, that is what a good diesel can do and Audi's TDIs are the best in the business.

Anyone know for sure what's about the Audi transmissions lately? They keep changing the names, I'm really confused now.
Will the A5 get the dual-clutch trans(DSG, S tronic now maybe) as the automatic or not? And what's up with those 8 gears? That's CVT! Whatever ... if someone gets it please explain it for the A5 and for the S5 also.

There is no word about the DSG/S-Tronic twin clutch transmission for the A5, wait for the official Geneva Autoshow debut on March 6th for all specifications.
