Porsche to play bigger role at Volkswagen
While Porsche has no plans of taking over Volkswagen any time soon, Porsche will play a bigger role in the decisions at Volkswagen group, industry insiders say. Porsche is currently the largest shareholder of Volkswagen with a 27.4 percent stake. The VW group is a very powerful force. Their lineup is awesome with the VW brand as the mainstream brand and also having the luxurious Audi lineup accompanied by the Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini brands. Top notch is what VW is, and with Porsche being a potential big influence on the group, things are good for VW.

I also think that people in North America and some other parts of the world look down on VW thinking they are underdogs but the only people who think that way are the ones who don't know what they have (which IMO is some very very prestige companies). They are fully capable of creating some designs and engineering that are simply epic!. IF Porsche plays a big role at Volkswagen then the trademark Porsche performance and handling may be bred into some high performance models.

I'm excited to see what happens and what contributions the VW shareholder has to offer.

This is no surprise. Porsche isn't making it a secret that they want in.
