US-market C-Class to Receive More "Aggressive" Look in US Market

US-market C-Class to Receive More
In a report published earlier last week by Automotive News, Mercedes-Benz USA president and CEO Ernst Lieb told the industry mag that when the newly-unveiled C-Class arrives in the US this September, it'll sport a more aggressive look than its European counterpart.

What does that mean? Well, we don't know, but we'll happily don our speculation caps. When you consider that the new C will be sold in Sport (top left) and Luxury (top right) trim levels when it hits the Continent in March, it makes us think that maybe we won't see the more staid-looking Luxury version in US dealerships.

maybe it will come with the following standard equipment:
* 22 inch chrome wheels with spinners
* triple blacked-out windows
* big airdam and wings
* machine gun turret

don't think so. it's a mercedes not an IS-F. even the most aggressive AMG versions remain understated and elegant.

How many times we will hear this ?

Let it come and then we'll talk.BTW the European version looks very boring and plain with a junk interior.
A dissapointment and a step backword compare to the current C i believe.

Make me the third person who feels that the Lexus IS interior is incredibly overrated. It's a good interior, but it is not all that it is made out to be.

In this class, the Audi A4 impresses with a superb interior. The new Cadillac CTS also looks impressive.

And I also agree with you Mr. cawimmer430 that all cars in this class have a good interior. Some are just better than others.

No Mercedes has an ugly interior.

well, i'm not so sure of your opinion. they sold over 2 million of the last C. so apparently, there are AT LEAST 2 million people who think you're wrong.

I don't know what I missed, but as the owner of a C230 (V6), I have to agree with cawimmer that the facelifted C class is indeed the car it should have been from the start: a quality product.

I've testdriven the prefacelift version and wasn't impressed. I barely wanted to give the facelifted version a try, but I did, and guess what? I liked it and I bought it. I also testdrove the BMW 325i, Lexus IS250 and the Saab 9-3 and the refreshed Mercedes C class made such a good impression on me.

I think the reason most people call the C class a "pos" is because they still think of the prefacelift version and are not being open minded.

Just my two cents...

001, you shouldn't get rid of the Porsche, unless you get a Targa or R8. R8 would be interesting.

To replace the GS, don't you want the new S550? I know I do. It's so sweet with the AMG package.

The Escalade... hmm. Range Rover? Or too ubiquitous? Then GL.

Didn't know you had a Passat, but there's not much to replace that with. It's in a class by itself.

Who were you referring to? I don't notice any Audi "trolls" in this forum... AUDIMAN4 isn't here...

Look at the above posts. Jugnu started the whole thing with his claim that the C class cockpit is junk.

I used to love the C class. Today's C looks like a perfect, little Mercedes.

The new look, pictured in this article, reminds me of the Lexus of yesteryear. Unless MB also adopts Lexus's quality numbers, why bother to get a car that has the defects of a Mercedes, and the presence of a Lexus?
