BMW at Geneva 2007 - No mention of E90/E92 M3 release

I am 90% sure you will see it out in frankfurt. There has been no news to us that work for BMW that the M3 was going to debut in Geneva. This vehicle is not supposed to hit us in the states til March or April of 2008 ... Geneva would be a tad early for an introduction.

For pete's sake people....just wait and see what happens!

That's kind of interesting. I was hoping the new M3 would be there; I plan on eventually test-driving the M3 convertible (it could replace the S4- but don't flip out, BMW fans, I'm still loyal to Audi).

What's also interesting is that Audi, now emulating Mercedes, released the "S" version of its A5 coupe at the same time as the base model. Hmm... maybe this means they'll come out with the RS5 faster. That's probably wishful thinking.

How is Audi emulating Mercedes? By trying to sell more cars to more people?

By releasing the standard(A5) and sport version(S5) at the same time.

I would only switch from my quattro to a 335xi BMW for now. If that. The rear drive sucks were I live for at least 4 months/year, if not 6 month or more.

Yesterday I was waiting behind a 3 series at the red light, he was the first, me right behind him. With a lane empty on the left, but I was supposed to turn right so I just waited behind him. Hard snow on the ground, no ice, just snow, plenty:) At the green light he wasted about 5 seconds before he could even move the car. I was seeing the rear tire spinning, stopping from time to time for less then a second just to spin again (probably the brain of the bmw was trying to do something). The driver, a young guy was looking bored at me in the left mirror ... almost telling me that's all he could do. I just pulled on the left, passed him, did the right turn in front of him and went on my way before he could even move the car 3 feet.

I own a 3 series and can tell it drives very well in snow. I get of first at green light, i got wintertyres on and DSC many FWD can not follow me in the snow, many dont have DSC/ESP.
If you know how to handle RWD you drive safe.

I agree. I live in Chicago area and lately we have recieved a pretty decent snow fall. I have had rear wheel drive BMW's for the last 10 years and havent had any issues regarding snow and such. I have a 335 coupe with the sport package. All I did was put snow tires on my car and it does very well in the snow.

RG12345 ... Question, did the guy in front of you have a sport package on his BMW? If so, then it was the tires and not the car that was the problem.. Same thing with AWD. Had you had the A4 Sport package with the 18" Performance summer tires, you would have had a similar issue. You probably have their all season tires on your car.

This line from the Geneva press release seems tanatalizing:
