Take that Toyota fans!

(Sarcasm off)

Why Audi A6 sell better than Camry? Simple answer.

Which would you choose if A6 1.8T sell US$38.5k and Camry 2.4 sell US$37.9k, plus much larger dealer network and possibility is sharing parts with VW?

hmmm...most of them sound like death-traps...
And I think the Nissan Tida is the Versa here...so that must mean it's selling very well there I guess....?

They have a lot of screwball names.

25% of the models are VW/Audi ... its no wonder VW doesn't give a sh** about the US market anymore.

US is the #2 market for Audi after Germany in terms of sales. The Dollar/Euro exchange rate is the real killer.

i think US sales are 3rd or 4th now for Audi

The UK buys more Audis than the US, too.

I knew the A6 would be on there. That car single-handedly makes Audi the best-selling luxury maker in China. I believe it sells twice as well as every BMW combined.

No, you're wrong.

We've explained this MANY times...

N. American-bound VWs are built in Mexico. THEY are not reliable.

As opposed to European and Asian VWs, that are built in EUROPE and ASIA. THEY are reliable! In fact, two VWs were put on "England's top ten most reliable cars" list!

someone needs to open up a repair shop specializing in VW. Soon China will know what we do about VW reliability.

Then, please explain, why is Audi so far ahead of VW on your holy CR's reliability list?

Do you honestly think that Audi sells more V6 and V8-powered cars than cars with four cylinders?

Quite an imagination.

Just admit it. Audi has far better reliability than VW. It's in a different league.

The only serious issue VW has had is the ignition coils on the 1.8-Turbo engine. That affected some of the A4's, but no other Audis. On the VW side, it affected most of the Passats and many Golfs and Jetts (plus the Beetle Sport).
There is little difference between VW and Audi. In fact, its the same as Toyota and Lexus. Many Toyotas and VWs are NAFTA cars, whereas Audi and Lexus are not built in North America, partially because its harder to acheive the same quality here.

Do some of you even realize how stupid you are when you are bashing other brands? It just shows me that you don't have any arguments(primitive and uneducated people do that).

as S4cabriofoxone explained, the Mexican-built VWs are a problem. But the Brazillian ones are even worse, and that's where a lot of the Jettas are coming from.
US Audis come from Germany, so no issues.
And if you're careful shopping for your VWs you can get German cars too, such as:
* Passat
* GTI
* Eurovans and trucks
* probably the Touareg
I don't know where the EOS is biult, but usually the convertibles are lower volume and come from Germany as well. (except the New Beetle convertible is likely Mexican)

The Chinese A6 is a special "China only" Long wheelbase model called the A6L. Although many people would suspect that the engine would be smaller than in the US, in fact its larger. There is no V6 available in China ... only the 4.2L V8in the A6.

The Chinese also have S6, A8/S8, A4, S4, RS4, A4 Cabrio, and RS4 Cabrios available!
You can't buy an RS4 cabrio in the US.
As usual, the fun cars are across the pond.......

Actually, ALL these models are made in China. Also, VW Jetta and VW Passat are made by 2 different companies in China. Passat is built along side Sanata and Polo. Jetta is built by another company who also build Golf & Audi.

China car manufacturing industry is very complicated. The same brand name (as known by Westerners) may be called differently in China because the models are made by different company. (There is Shanghai VW making Passat & Polo, and First Automobile VW making Jetta, Golf, Audi, etc. Also, quality from First Auto VW is regarded as better because than Shanghai VW.)

Also, you can choose the country of origin (eg There are China made and imported BMW 3s & 5s), with imported ones 10-20% more expensive.
