looks like there are equal numbers of german and japanese cars on the list. interesting. apparently, nobody has a monopoly on good value. just depends on what characteristics one demands in a car.

however, BMW is better represented on the list than any other brand....

Considering most BMW sales are through the leasing of lower-ended models, I agree.

and those great 'lower end' models are the heart of the brand.
let's not forget that 70% of lexus sales are 'lower end' ES and RX. winner cars!

you do have a point...it did get pretty good reviews...

omg Ford. I swear to God I feel so sorry for anyone that would buy an MKZ, you have no idea how the big 3 car dealers laugh at buyers when they pay the same amount of money for their products when they get higher quality and reliability for that money buying Japanese.

No, it really didn't get good reviews. Like the rest of the barrage of new Ford products, it's considered mediocre by critics. Not panned- but that's not far from what's happened.

The A4 is also cheaper than the 3 series as well.

BMW have some stripped version cars and trucks
they can be cheapest in its category

I'm surprised BMW didn't sweep this list, as many models as they have with pleather.

William, if Lexus offered the high quality of pleather you would be praising them for their intelligent decision.

If BMW offered it, you'd get offensive with anyone whoe criticized it.

Oh wait...

The Audi A4 wagon does not start @ 58,708, I think that should be 28,708.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these numbers are bull, they are all MSRPs. I would love to see anyone get a 328 coupe for less than $40,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the IS is cheaper than the bmw 3 series...it starts at $30,255.

Well I can't speak for anyone else but I work for a NY Lexus Dealer and at MSRP GS's start at $47K ES's are $37900 and IS's start at $36500 and that's for the whole northeast and we also have a BMW dealership and those prices seem like base MSRP cars which you can't find around here either so it's not as cheap as it seems

Why is the A4 Avant so much more expensive than the A4 sedan, according to them?

$20,000?

I'd say they're thinking about the S4 Avant... and even then, you'd need options to get it up there.

That's a beautiful picture of the E92! Every time I see a new photo of it, I want it more.

That BMW is actually a good looking car. I saw an AutoTrader.com TV show today that featured the new X5 and I have to say, they aren't as bad as I thought.

I can't comprehend how anyone would ever think the E92 was ugly.

It's not merely "good-looking." For the price, it's the best out there.
