Volga based on a BMW M3
I’m sure most of you remember the customized Volga Coupe and Cabrios based on the BMW 850i and 650Ci Cabriolet respectively. Turns out though that the Russian love affair between Volga’s and BMW’s has been running on quite a few years as this customized Volga 21 RCM proves. Manufactured in 1997 by El Motors, the retro-fashioned 21 CPM is based on a 1994 E36 BMW M3 powered by the first gen 286Hp strong 6-cylinder 3.2. I don’t know about you but it would really make me feel better if I knew that the donor car was messed up to the point of no return…

That is hotter than this, by a lot.

But the problem with the 6 Series one is that from the beltline up, it's the same car. They didn't bother redesigning the top (there's a Hoffmeister kink), the interior is unchanged, and even the rear popup window is still there.

I am glad they redesigned the interior on this one, though.

Yet, it's not particularly tasteful. It's a time machine in there! Let's go to the '80s!

What is Volga anyways? a car that takes base cars and changing them to appear different? not too familiar with it. Anyways I just checked out the 6 series reskin. I personally don't like it. The interior should have been changed slightly. At least the BMW logo should have been removed and certain panels changed to look more classic than the totally modern BMW lay out. It just does not suite the car on the outside.
