Unbelievable Hit & Run Rally accident in Romania -March 2nd

Unbelievable… and I’m not talking about the accident itself but about the cold-blooded rally driver who swept half a dozen of people as he slid out of course and didn’t blink an eye. The accident happened on Saturday during the Romanian Rally, "Raliul Brasovului 2007". From what we learned, three spectators suffered light injuries and one was seriously injured on the head –lets hope he’s all right. Ok, it’s obvious that the spectators where watching the race from an area, they shouldn’t have been in the first place, but jeez, you don’t just crash into half a dozen of people and continue the race as if nothing happened…

Every time I watch a rally on TV I am thinking those people are extremely stupid. Yes, the camera men are brave, they have to stay on the side to catch the race, but the people are just some IDIOTS. If you go on google videos and search for rally accidents you'll find tons of them where people are getting hit buy rally cars. Why do they keep watching the race from that close? I would never stop in a case like that, or maybe only to tell them how stupid they are to be that close to crazy driving cars. It is something I would never do. And I see guys with their kids and wife getting hit ... man you must be stupid to bring your family that close to death INTENTIONALLY.

Now that driver who hit them will suffer from bad press but that's not the big deal. But if he has any conscience he will feel guilty for his mistake and because of that for hitting those people all his life. It's not that easy to erase from your mind that you killed somebody. No matter it's your fault or not. And because of that I blame it on the people again!
