Lexus: 2 crossovers and another hybrid to join lineup
Lexus has been doing quite well recently, and with their debut of the IS-F and F line we can only expect more from Toyota’s premium brand. Automotive News reports that Lexus is busy planning new vehicles in several key niches including 2 crossovers and another hybrid. With the 4th hybrid model on the way, Lexus is the only premium luxury car maker with 3 hybrid models including the LS hybrid, GS hybrid and the RX hybrid. The 2 crossovers will most likely be based on Lexus’ LF-X crossover concept pictured above.

“Lexus does not intend to stop growing,” said Bob Carter, the division’s general manager. “We have not reached our limit.”

The concept been on Lexus website for like 3 years are so. Hopefully it look as sporty as the Infiniti FX and has at least 300 hp.

I hope it doesn't replace the GX. The GX is a great looking vehicle.

Please, no. I can understand the IX or whatever they're going to call it- they need a premium 'ute that's smaller than the RX to compete with the X3, GLK, Q5, RDX...

Contrary to popular opinion on this site, the RX350 is actually a larger crossover than the last-gen X5, and is only three inches shorter than the new one. It's significantly longer than the X3, and while it's a competitor in price, they could use something smaller, to make the X3 look like a bad deal.

But two OTHER ones? I'll pass!

Oh and, I don't think the LF-X concept was bad. Stylish. If they can come up with something like that and it drives fairly well, I'd consider it... as a winter car.

The car in the picture looks really bad.... a mixture of the fx and something else. Small headlights dont work for me, too much space next to the grill looks totally wrong! Also from another angle it looks like a station wagon. Terrible!

I would expect the crossovers to share design cues with the Lexus sedans they'll be based on. A GS in a crossover form wouldn't look half bad...

The question is: How do you make a concept model look bland?
