Lexus, Cadillac Recalls: High Price Doesn't Mean Perfect

You might think that if you drive a luxury car, there is no chance in heck that your baby will be recalled for any reason. Think again.

Luxury cars are not exempt. Remember, just like that Toyota Corolla or that Honda Civic you used to drive back in high school, human beings--with the help of some robotics--makes cars. And human beings are not faultless. As they say, it happens.

One luxury name plate, Lexus, recently recalled over 367,000 of its popular RX SUV because of loose clips in the center console that could permit the carpet to slip and interfere with the driver’s attempt to get to the accelerator pedal. It's all a numbers game. There are brands that are less likely than others to have problems. You can buy the brand at the bottom of the list and have no problems and you can buy the brand at the top and have problems.

wow, this shows nothing BUT how dedicated Lexus is to its customers. Loose clip in the carpet? This isn't even an issue, but just imagine what other company would report something silly as this?
Great job Lexus, keep doing what you're doing and let everyone else to brag about their prestige while falling apart. lol

This shows Lexus makes mistakes, it's not the "perfect" car, not even by reliability. Not a big recall if the carpet slips and stops you from flooring the gas, but if it slips and you can't touch the brakes .. you are dead.

Aww come on guys, you're usually more upbeat than this. The point was to attack Lexus for not being "perfect," or "reliable." Although I'm glad we're in agreement that a loose carpet clip is nothing to fret about.

Its a plastic clip that holds the carpet mat down.Its not a recall Its a campaign.A recall is something th fed.gvt. makes you do.
