Sounds similar to the Schwinn bike I had when I was six with the playing cards clipped on the frame with clothespins to make it sound like a hot rod.
Not impressed!

this beats both sounds, although i do think the IS-F exhaust sounds better then the M3, but i would Buy the M3 over the IS-F anyday

The new M3 is a high-revving V8, in the same vein as Ferrari's celebrated v8 engines?

Ever heard a Ferrari V8? It sounds a lot like the new M3, which is a good thing if you are on the list for one!

It has a similar character to a F1 engine, the way its big displacement revs so freely.

The IS-F, sadly, is pretty mundane. Sure it is a nice sounding V8 (try making a V8 sound bad) but it isn't really that special.

The M3 exhaust note is distinctive and evocative. The 'tinny' and 'unrefined' remarks are utterly ridiculous.

haha i like the car but that sounded like a dirt bike or something, the soundtrack sounded better, and to think people were ripping the sound of the is-f.

Mattew is right on target! All high rev V8s and V12s sound higher pitched. Besides, all F1 and Indy cars have shrieky, whiny exhaust notes. One of the best GT cars ever made, the M3 GTR, also sounds like a "buzz saw". Nothing wrong with that. I'd rather have a car that sounds like a F1 car than a souped up Mustang GT anyday!

The RS4 and M5 has the coolst sound.

Looks soo seXY! By the way, the engine doesn't sound that bad, although we have to hear it revv when accleratingin a straight line to make a good judgement...For now, it doesn't sound as good as the M5's...

Very dissapointed but then again nothing could be worse than the awful racket that comes from the E46 M3. The E60 M5 even though it sounds like crap idling sounds alot better. What happened to the beautiful music of the Z8 and E39 M5? Audi's 4.2 V8's have always had a very classy cultured roar to them so the RS4 is no surprise. hmm sorry I don't know what's wrong with my key board typing double sometimes!

Lexus said they were doing performance in a Lexus way. So I assume that the IS-F will be a dissapointment. I will be driving one however and keeping an open mind.
