MythBusters ask...Can speed camera's be foiled?
Last night's episode of Mythbusters was wonderfully auto related. The show's hosts, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, take on the myth that a speed camera can be foiled. They attack the myth from various angles, including testing various types of license plate covers that claim to obscure one's plate from the prying eyes of a roadside speed camera. Of course, every mailorder plate cover fails miserably.

I watched this last night , pretty cool, but i bet going 253 in a veyron could beat it. The highest they got to was 140MPH

top gear tested this and if u go over 180 u can get away with it...cuz a speedcamera needs to take 2 pics in order to have enough proof...so if ur going at leats 180 mph...by the time the cam takes the second pic...ull already be gon ;)

Did they try the spray on license plate cover? This worked for "Trouble Shooter Tom Martino" here in Denver when he tested it. Now, all the toll roads use UV cameras though...
