This is why Consumer Reports can not be taken seriously anymore. How is the Lexus Sc430, Pontiac Solstice, Mazda Miata " SPORTY "? that kills me. The Lexus is anything but Sporty. Same thing with the Miata or the Solstice. lol

Why are you getting hung up on the SC430 being considered a "Sport Coupe" when the issue at hand is what customers' cars are most satisfying?

The MX-5 and Solstice (especially the Mazda) are basically the only pure sports cars you can get for under $40,000 right now.

Both JD Power and CR start to lose me when they start reporting a car’s "emotional impact" on their buyer.

Is it any surprise that the "Sporty," "Upscale" or "Luxury" category is missing entirely from "least satisfying?" Or that there is only one satisfying minivan while there are 4 which are not? Men, especially, who buy mini-vans don’t typically have a burning desire for them, they buy them out of necessity. Trading in a sport coupe for a mini-van is rarely, if ever, satisfying. It’s mostly humiliating and necessary; but that says very little about the vehicle’s ability to suit its purpose. Meanwhile, indulgence explains nearly every "Most Satisfying" entry.

You know, as much as I loved my Intrigue I will never buy a GM car again. I've had two different GM cars and both of them had so many little oddball quirks (most electrical) that it just drove me crazy.

This is retarded. There isn't a single kia or izuzu on the least satisfying list, or a single MERCEDES period. If you take a survey like this, you have to weight it right. Out of 100 people, how many are actually going to own certain cars. This kinda crap from them just kills me. CR makes me growl under my breath.

The minute BMW and Audi starts topping CR and JDP lists, attitudes will change around here. But that wont be happening anytime soon, so nothing to worry about...

And they won't because they dont focus on reliability and whatnot. its all about technology and performance...And that there is nothing wrong with that, but that will never make it mainstream.

I see the Dodge Charger (V8) is on there for satisfaction and yesterday I saw 2 brand new black and white Irvine Police Department squad cars.

Almost all the cars in the least satisfying category are american. LOL. I'd never buy american.

Same here, never buy American except maybe the new 2008 or 2009 CTS. Car I would like to buy Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari 619 Scaglietti, Lexus LS600 hl, Lexus GS-F, BMW M6, Lexus IS-F, Audi RS4, and the Bentley Continental GT.

GS-F? Is that coming out?

What engine would it have? It wouldn't make sense for it to have the IS-F's engine- only 400hp, when the GS460 will already have 380. Lexus doesn't have very big engines, as far as I know. They'd need to develop a new one for the GS-F.
