BMW posts whopper of a profit
BMW AG, the world's largest premium automaker, said Thursday its profit rose 28 percent in 2006, boosted by a one-time gain from the sale of a stake in British aircraft engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce PLC and strong car sales.

anyone know how much their worth? there was an article in motortrend where bmw and merc made an agreement with porsche awhile ago that they would not make a highend sports car similar to the 911, to help porsche stay afloat. but since audi has made the r8 their going to get in the battle.

Wow that sounds odd. I think Porsche probably has higher profit per car, and a large chunk of change ensuring there financial stability for some time.

Can you dig this up, I wouldn't mind checking it out.

Finally some good BMW press, Being #1 is not easy, for the past 3 years they have been more profitable than Mercedes. and please give me a break from than VW/Audi BS.
