Top 10 Hardtop Convertibles in 2007

YAY BMW 328i/335i Conv...very hot...I guess all the cars are cool in there own way... I think the SC430 really needs a refresh though ..

No, in the US they get the 328 and will probs get the 325 but they all have a 3.0 litre engine, weirdly.

Pontiac G6, SC430 and Sebring certainly don't belong there.

SLK280 strikes a fine line, and it might not deserve to be there, either. It's a poser's delight.

It's a woman's car. Wheezy engine, boring drive, but it has the looks.

I don't like the way it looks at all, but most women think it's "cute" because it's a convertible with a three-pointed star on one of its three nostrils.

I like MB a ton, but I really dislike the SLK.

Also, you're probably going to strike back with a hate-filled post about the TT.

I'm the first to admit that it's also a chick car. At least the TT Roadster.

The difference? It's actually good. Best-looking in class IMO, and the 2.0T DSG is one of the best engine/transmission combinations in the business. Interior is also more special than the SLK's, Z4's and Boxster's, and Audi just stressed every styling detail with the car. I'd be happy to have a TT Coupe.

1. Did I not say the TT was also a chick car? Every car in this class is- even the Boxster. But the SLK, most of all. It's because of the badge, and I'm incredulous to your denial. I've only seen a man in one SLK- a 55. And I've only seen one SLK55 on the road!

I disagree. Have you driven the TT? More importantly, have you driven the DSG 2.0T (FWD) model? I have an A3 2.0T DSG FWD for the winter, and I never knew a hatch could be such fun. Audi engineers their FWD cars better than any other manufacturer. Fact.

Okay, I'm probably missing one or two, but doesn't that list contain *all* of the hardtop convertibles currently available? (and I'm not talking different engine sizes) So how is it a list of top 10?

I think what the author was trying to relay (bad editorial skills) was their personal preference order upon how they would rank the 10.

And they went by the pricing scale upward (until Sebring, which is admitted as not yet available).
