SPYSHOTS- BMW 6-Series re-fresh spyshots
A mild facelift is in the works for BMW's 6-Series, as photographed here in lightly disguised form on the streets of Munich .

A new front air dam repositions the fog lamps - which are now placed within the center air intake - and the nose gets a little more definition thanks to a more pointed chin spoiler. The rear bumper gets similar tweaks, with redesigned reflectors and revised back-up lights.

I try to like the 6, I really do, I just really don't for some reason. Looks bloated.

You're not the only one. I like the back, I love BMWs, but for some reasons this thing never grows on me.

I like the current one, but this shot of this new one does not grab me.

Dropping the rumored 4.4L V8 twin-turbo on the new 6-series will make this refresh even sweeter.

those aren't foglights in the center, they're the adaptive cruise sensor and the night vision sensor. Most vehicles will have neither of these features.

I dont believe all those people are in here and no one other than you mentioned that.

what's even more amazing is this exact photo was on here a year ago and I said the same thing then.

The headlamps are still ugly!

??????
I think Will has been abducted by aliens and replaced with a mindless drone.

Oh wait, no change. ;)

Bit of a personality change though?

I am a BMW fan (getting a 335i soon) but I am not a big fan of the front end of the 6 series. Reminds me of a Pontiac for some reason.... The car itself is awesome!!!

Nice! When will it come out?

Any new engines?

This could sway me from the new M3. I saw a 650ci today with its top down, and it's currently about 75º in Chicago (believe it or not). It is a truly beautiful car.

wow. good design making the front lower fascia look even thinner considering how bulk the 6 series looks.

bmw needs to hire a new designer to design its front bumpers.

lol.

It's still carrying the backpack, can't decide if it wants to look like a hatchback or sedan. I was hoping they'd invert the choice--give it slab sides from a sedan and the midsection dip down like a hatchback. It wouldn't look any worse, and would continue what must be an elaborate practical joke or social experiment among the designers.

Do you expect them to change the shape of the vehicle for a minor mid-life refresh?

I think this is the most attractive car BMW makes, now whether or not that is actually saying much, I leave to you and your judgment.

Sorry, first time here, clicked twice. Does anyone know if you can edit a message once submitted?

Nope.

It's terribly annoying.

You can't edit, you can't spell check, you can't italicize, you can't embolden, you can't underline...

Sometimes, the reply button doesn't even work.

Actually if you have the latest I.E. for Vista you can spellcheck your forms. It is terribly handy, although I never think to use it.

Sorry guys but after seeing the new Audi A5 and S5 BMW better be looking out because it is no longer the darling of the dance.

Well, I love the A5/S5 AND the 6 Series.

But, sorry to break it to you, they're not competitors.

The A5 is a direct competitor to the 3 Series two-door.

Their lengths are within two inches of each other.

I look forward to when BMW returns to making attractive cars. I miss the "Golden Years" of 1990 to 2001.

The BMW 7 and 6 series, why are they so depressed? give them some anti depression pill and fix their front ends for God's sake. Just ugly fronts.
